We are a group of guys and girls that love to have fun in the great outdoors. Just a good group of good folks who enjoy riding and spending time away from the day to day grind and don't take things too seriously.
Moab - Pritchett Canyon
It was a bitter sweet day. H had to stay back and wasn't able to join us for Pritchett Canyon. Pritchett is my favorite trail in Moab and considered one of the hardest trails there. We made it through pretty quickly and ended up finally breaking something on White Knuckle. It was the end of the day so it did not put a damper on another awesome day in Moab.

Moab's Widow Maker in a UTV
Переглядів 2,1 тис.18 днів тому
We finished out the day with some highs and a low. The Widow Maker obstacles on Metal Masher is one I really wanted to check off the list before we even left to go out to Moab. I had been to it a couple of times on previous trips and never did it and always regretted not trying it. It doesn't look like much on video but it is pretty intimidating in person. H's buggy started acting up worse and ...
Moab - Rusty Nail Trail
Переглядів 1,4 тис.29 днів тому
Rusty Nail was my favorite trail of the trip. I have always wanted to do it but have never been able to actually find it until this trip. I am glad we did. There were 2 really cool sections with some amazing scenery everywhere you looked. www.southernlandriders.com Join our group on FaceBook: groups/SouthernLandRiders
Moab - Poison Spider
Переглядів 706Місяць тому
We woke up to temps in the 30's and we were not prepared at all! It ended up being my favorite day of the trip. We did the trifecta. Poison Spider, Gold Spike and Metal Masher. We also threw Rusty Nail in there as well. That'll be the next video. I am pretty sure I enjoyed the end of this video a lot more than H did. Moab - The Pickle and Dunes
Переглядів 1,2 тис.Місяць тому
We discovered The Pickle 2 years ago and it was one of our favorites. It is a really short trail but has a couple of really good waterfall ledges to climb. It is really cool being in the canyon driving through it. The trails to get to it and get back on the highway are SUPER fun and fast. www.southernlandriders.com Join our group on FaceBook: groups/SouthernLandRiders
Choccolocco Mountain Off Road Park - Nasty Roll on Violator Hill
Переглядів 5 тис.2 місяці тому
We went for a quick day trip to Choccolocco this weekend and Brian got a little wild. We ended up over by Violator and he decided to give it a try. If you've ever seen this hill in person, you know how nasty it is. It was wet and that didn't help things. He ended up rolling about 60 feet after a bad bounce. Luckily, he was OK. www.southernlandriders.com Join our group on FaceBook: ...
Moab 2024- Down Pritchett Canyon and Up Moab Rim
Переглядів 1,5 тис.2 місяці тому
We finished day 1 by heading down one of our favorite trails, Pritchett Canyon. We came back and went up it on day 4. Moab Rim is right by downtown so we hit that before heading to dinner. Overall, day 1 was a success and a lot of fun. www.southernlandriders.com Join our group on FaceBook: groups/SouthernLandRiders
Moab 2024- The Drive Out and Behind the Rocks
Переглядів 2 тис.2 місяці тому
Moab 2024 was pretty epic. Me and Andrew H Smith had an amazing trip. For the most part things went great but we did have a few issues. That is to be expected on a week long trip away. It didn't stop us from making some amazing memories. H's buddy John joined us as well and it was awesome getting to know him and spending the week out there with him. It was a long drive but without a doubt worth...
Windrock (Back to Airplane Hill)
Переглядів 3,5 тис.3 місяці тому
We finished off the trip with a run through good old trail 39. We have had a lot of good memories on Airplane Hill and Cadillac Hill. It was as wet as it has ever been and my machine was ready to get back in the trailer after the trip. I had several issues but luckily we all made it back to campground to finish off another amazing Windrock ride. www.southernlandriders.com Join our group on Face...
Windrock Trail 39
Переглядів 2,1 тис.3 місяці тому
After the races Saturday we headed straight for trail 39. We have done the trail probably 10 times and it was slicker than I had ever seen it. It rained all night the day before and made things extremely difficult. It is amazing how much different the trails can be from one day to the next. It was a blast and Keith got to experience 39 for the first time. www.southernlandriders.com Join our gro...
Windrock - Trail 22 and 15

After Walden's Ridge we headed back to the campground to hook up with Chris, Ruth and Keith. There was still a little daylight left so we took a quick ride up trail 22 and 15. www.southernlandriders.com Join our group on FaceBook: groups/SouthernLandRiders
Windrock - Walden's Ridge (The Whole Trail)
Переглядів 3,9 тис.3 місяці тому
This was such a fun day. We hit Walden's Ridge and had such a goiod ride. I had done it years ago but it was late at night so I never really got to see much of it. We also did not do the full "ridge". This time we went through the whole trail. It is such an iconic trail and this is the first time we have ever got any video of it. www.southernlandriders.com Join our group on FaceBook: facebook.c...
Windrock - Trail 28 to Ginger's Deli
Переглядів 3 тис.3 місяці тому
Back at Windrock and another great trip in the books. It was a 4 night trip filled with good times. Me, Charity and H got there early and headed over to Walden's Ridge. We hit trail 28 over to Half Moon to get there. It had been over 3 years since I had done 28. It has changed a lot since they logged it but it was still a lot of fun. www.southernlandriders.com Join our group on FaceBook: facebo...
Stony Lonesome (Valley Hill, Bootleg Creek, Hamburger Hill, Carson's Corner)
Переглядів 3,1 тис.4 місяці тому
The last day at Stony was a good one. It was the longest ride of the 4 day trip and we hit a lot of good stuff and had a lot of fun. We had a couple of friends join us and finished out the trip with another amazing day out in the woods. Until next time! www.southernlandriders.com Join our group on FaceBook: groups/SouthernLandRiders
Stony Lonesome (Child Support, Bobby's World and Pit Bike Fun)
Переглядів 1,8 тис.5 місяців тому
We hit some old favorites on day 2. Child support and Bobby's world are both good ones. They are all right next to each other and one of my favorite areas of the park. We ended the day with a trip to little Moab on the pit bikes. www.southernlandriders.com Join our group on FaceBook: groups/SouthernLandRiders
Looks brutal in a full body.
Yeah it's definitely easier in a chassis.
What front diff in the chassis at 40:50
Awesome video guys!
Thanks buddy!
I would start looking at valvetrain if H hasn't figured it out yet. I've seen a can am loose a cylinder due to chain/tensioner but very well could be a rocker arm or lifter issue.
I would agree. If you have fuel, spark, and air. Then sounds like you're missing compression. I hope you're checking for fuel and spark while the engine is running.
Good run! We just did this with a Honda Pioneer. Pritchett is ain't no joke.
Ryan, what trail did you ride your bike on?
I did the half Enchilada. Started at UPS upper and down Porcupine Rim. Worst part was peddling back to the VRBO in town after being absolutely dead tired!
@@SouthernLandRiders nice! That’s a great ride from what I hear. I have only hit a few mtb trails out there but not that one.
I wish yall would've dropped this a couple weeks ago. I just left moab and said I had did everything I wanted to do with a 2 seater. Now I wish we would've tried it. Last time I was at Widow maker (previous trips )I was in a stock pioneer and it was a heck no for me 😂 Good video!
Nice job
It needs a new set of spark plugs mine did the same thing last year
That was one of the first things we did. Motor ended up being the issue.
Sorry to hear that guys
You guys made Widow Maker look easy. Thanks for sharing. Bad day for H. That's a long trip to have your buggy break.
Yeah I hated it for him. We did everything we could the next couple of days to get it fixed. I hated it for him.
Good video guys sucks h eas having trouble with skyfall
Thanks. Yeah it was a string of bad luck. Should be good to go now though.
And that was the end of Skyfall, well for the Moab trip at least, we tried everything to fix it to no avail. turns out the knock sensor was putting it into limp mode due to piston slap, she ended up with a whole top end rebuild once we got home.
I hated that for you buddy. We will just have to go back out there again now. :)
Sky fall don’t need no fuel pump it needs life support 😂
We tried absolutely everything the next day to no avail. He ended up rebuilding the motor when he got home after replacing pretty much everything. I hate that it happened out there.
@@SouthernLandRiders dang man tell H a fan said sorry that happened cause as a fellow rider I would hate for that to happen
Very nice kit! The kit for my pioneer is a koozie and some sunglasses. Lol Just kidding man. Well done.
You did the one like a pro but the first time wasn’t so great
lol yeah the chassis helps
Pretty Cool looking trail.
It was. My favorite of the trip.
Good video guys
That trail is a lot of fun. Just one obstacle after another. Thanks for sharing.
It really is. The whole day was pretty much one thing right after the other. The next video will so some of the awesome stuff we got into on Rusty Nail.
Hey man still just curious on the 4th anniversary at Indian mountain and great vid btw really needed it been board all day 👍
I will post them one day. Gotta a ton of catching up to do with editing. Work is killing me right now as well. Just got back from a 4 day trip to Windrock so gotta get those out at some point as well.
@@SouthernLandRiders man I wanna know what your work is to be able to afford all this stuff
@@skydivekid01 I am a real estate agent. It is absolutely crazy busy this time of year.
@@SouthernLandRiders oh well no wonder your about to afford all this stuff like I’m 15 trying to get Lt for my pro xp 😭
@@skydivekid01 I got a few years on ya. Haha. Keep working hard and the toys will come.
I can’t seem to find any comments asking about your storage box in the back of your SxS, but where did you get it?
It was made by a company called Ryfab. They are no longer in business The box was awesome though.
Hey boys 😂 you all got to get someone with you all that can ride and will push you all a lil more !! Making simple trails hard !! It’s a nice place to ride tho, I ride it 3 or 4 times a year since I only live a hour away !! Good job tho fellas 😂
I hope I can see this place one day. Great video
Thanks. Moab is incredible.
Hello, Are you interested in testing our products?
Hello, Are you interested in testing our products?
I’ve got a sneaking suspicion that H drove a little more than you have him credit for on the way out there. Not sure why😂😂😂
Maybe it was more like 28 hours total to 2 hours for H. lol
Ryan reamber. Me
Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks buddy.
What headsets are u guys using? I had rugged radios in my last car, but really don’t wanna add all the wiring to the pro r’s already over complicated electrical system.
Me and my wife always use Sena 50s headsets. H also has a pair he uses when him and his son ride together. This trip me and H used them to communicate with each other. Normally when it is the whole group we all use CB's we got from sxsradios.com. If it is small group or just you and your wife, the Sena's are pretty awesome.
great job buddy it really is a great little trail
Thanks buddy. Man that was a fun day. Trip came and went so damn fast.
Dude in red is an idiot and should stay out of the woods.
What clutching do you run?
We all run OEM Polaris clutches. Most of us have clutch kits though.
OEM P90x? Which kit do you recommend?
Glad that Brian is ok. I'm curious what the wall thickness of the tube that bent is, .095 or .120?
It's all 120. None of our chassis has anything less than 120.
i like watching you on you tube
Appreciate it. Glad you enjoy the videos.
Stuck the landing!!! Solid 10!
Yeah he did
I did something similar but not near as bad, glad Brain's ok. Might have to nickname him George of the jungle :0)
It's a nasty hill for sure. One of the worst at Choccolocco.
That cage saved the day. Glad to see he was ok.
Yeah it did it's job. Thankfully. Brian built a hell of a machine.
Glad all is well
Agreed
Is it just me but when you flip on solid rock and it bends bars the wreck is easier on the driver but harder on the rig
I don't know if it is easier on the driver or not. It definitely is harder on the machine. Rocks aren't forgiving like dirt is.
Id pay for this group to build me a badass chassis.
Is that what h does?
Get with H. HCraft Customs. He will be glad to build you a chassis. He's got a Can Am chassis he's finishing up and then building me another one but he's open after that.
@@SouthernLandRiders i appreciate it brother ill look into that
@@alexbillups8519 Sure thing. He built mine, my wife's, Chris's, Sonny's, Benjamin's and his. He just finished up a badass race chassis for Coty Carlock. Check out some of his work. Not the cheapest out there but the best out there in my opinion.
Yeah imagine those hits on a stock cage alone. Probably would’ve broke his neck. Quality is worth every penny. Video quality has been good too.
is that the end of Moab?
No sir. Got at least 4 more videos of Moab. This was just a quick day trip we took this past Saturday. Just 1 video of it.
@@SouthernLandRiders gotcha!! nasty spill. glad hes good!!
3:41 that doesn't look like zillas, what you testing out?
MRT Rocky RX tires. Going to do some more testing with them and will post impressions.
@@SouthernLandRiders love to see it! Zillas are great and all but feels like most people that run them treat it like a cult.
Violator is straight nasty now . Glad all is good.
Yes it is. Brian made the hardest part at the bottom look easy. Just got a crazy bounce at the top.
Ouch
That is what I said. lol
That was scary! Glad Brian is OK..
For sure. It was pretty nasty. Could have been a lot worse.
That was a hard hit
Yes sir it was
Was that a hillkiller diff ratchet I heard around 2:30 ?
Yep. First time ever. I came down on it pretty hard.
@@SouthernLandRiders You guys beat on those things. Was surprised! Glad to see Brian is okay, that was a hell of a roll.
@@WhiskeyTangoFoxtrotOffRoad yeah I honestly have hit it a lot harder several other times and it never did that. I was surprised. Going to replace the Sprague carrier and it should be like new again. They are tough. And for sure on Brian. It could have been real bad.
Good video glad Brian is ok
Great video as always. We are heading back to Moab in September. What tie rods are you guys running?
Hope y'all have a great trip. Moab is such a awesome experience. We all run Performance SXS Bushing tie rods.
I feel like y’all did this trail the opposite direction last time
Yeah we did. We went up it on day 4 of this trip.
We went up that trail a couple years ago. Lots of broken parts. We did all have to winch where you almost rolled at 3 minutes into your video. Canam x3 max, krx’s and a long travel Honda pioneer.
Yeah we have done it a couple of time going up it. It is probably my favorite trail in Moab.
